Dissemination across Europe

Last week was an incredibly busy one for our dissemination team, who appeared at three events across Europe to share what we have learned from ValueCare to date.

Esmee Bally, Erasmus MC, presenting at the International Conference on Integrated Care

From May 22nd to May 24th, our communications partners at the International Foundation for Integrated Care held their annual conference, the International Conference on Integrated Care, in Antwerp, Belgium. This conference is the world’s largest gathering of the integrated care community and was attended in person by 1,300 people, with more tuning in online. IFIC’s ValueCare team were joined by partners from University College Dublin, Erasmus Medical Centre, and AGE Platform Europe for the event.

Both Alejandro Gil Salmerón (IFIC) and Esmee Bally (Erasmus MC) presented the ValueCare project at a number of different sessions, sharing both initial results from our pilots and networking with other European projects.

Stay tuned for an upcoming article by AGE Platform’s Sofia Santos Nunes sharing her reflections on the conference in their CoverAGE newsletter soon.

Mirian Fernández Salido from Polibienestar presents at the ISFW conference in Prague

Meanwhile in Prague, Czech Republic, the International Federation of Social Workers held its European Social Work Conference 2023, focused on the theme ‘Against All Odds – A Social Europe is Possible Where Nobody is Left Behind’. Mirian Fernández Salido from Polibienestar was there to share how ValueCare has used motivational interviewing to foster social participation among adults experiencing loneliness. You can read the conference abstract here.

The MEDRI and ISRAA teams at the 10th International Symposium – Health for All in Croatia

Meanwhile in Croatia, our team from ISRAA in Treviso travelled to meet with our team from MEDRII at the University of Rjieka, who organised the 10th International Symposium – Health for All, in partnership with the faculty of the University of Lubjljana. This was another great opportunity for our pilots to share what they have learned during the ValueCare project and network with like-minded peers.

Thank you to everyone who engaged with our team at these events last week, and we look forward to even more events this year as we work hard to share the findings of ValueCare with as many people and organisations as we can.
